From July 1, 2024, onshore applicants for Temporary Graduate, Maritime Crew, and Visitor visas will no longer be able to switch to a student visa. This change ensures that visas are granted to bona fide students who positively contribute to Australia's economy.?

  • 2024-2025 Permanent Visa Allocations?

The Department of Home Affairs has announced the allocation of 185,000 permanent visa places for the upcoming fiscal year, with a significant focus on the skill stream, totaling 132,200 places. This adjustment underscores Australia's ongoing demand for skilled migrants.??

Notably, the Employer Nomination Scheme receives increased allocations, while the independent skilled migration stream sees adjustments.?

  • Increase in Minimum Wage for TSS Visa Holders?

Effective July 1, 2024, the minimum salary requirement for Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa holders will rise from $70,000 to $73,150 annually under the revised Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT). New nomination applications submitted after this date must meet or exceed this threshold to reflect current market rates.?
