Singapore International Water Week 2024

Last week, Imagine H2O Asia concluded an action-packed program for 17 of our companies at Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) . Check out our highlights from the week:?

Startup & Pilot Showcase @ TechXchange

Imagine H2O Asia ’s presence at TechXchange this year was larger than ever:?

• Featured 16 IH2O companies who pitched to an audience of global utilities, industry leaders and investors. More than half of our companies emerged as winners of their respective categories!?
• Showcased 4 active pilots in the region, where TracWater , SmartTerra , Pure Active Water Pte Ltd and Teredo Analytics questioned the audience’s assumptions on what it takes to successfully get innovation deployed in the field. Stay tuned for our pilot project video series next month.?

Innovation Pavilion?

Over three days at the Expo, 100+ meetings took place with more than 40 organizations at our pavilion. Here’s a glimpse into some of them:?

• Hosted utilities from 8 countries including Indonesia, the Philippines and Cambodia.
• Scoped out regional deployment opportunities via pilot projects or market entry assistance with 7 startups.?

• Facilitated discussions for 3 global startups actively exploring opportunities with local contractors and end-users.

Innovation Network Reception

• Emily Hicks , Co-Founder and President of FREDsense Technologies , was featured in Financial Times : “Three Female Founders’ Plans for Addressing Water Challenges”.
• Membrion, Inc. was recognized as the “Most Disruptive Technology” at the BlueTech Forum .
• Sudoc raised a total of $10 million of new capital to support their scale up from Momentum Capital BV and PureTerra Ventures.
• WASE was selected as the “Best Go-to-Market Strategy” at the BlueTech Forum .
• iFLUX is ensuring a well controlled watershed at Dunea through real-time groundwater monitoring.

Partner Updates?

• Applications are open until August 1st for the Environmental Tech Lab , a public-private initiative between the NYC Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) and Partnership Fund for New York City to test new technologies to help solve pressing challenges facing the city’s water and wastewater network. This year’s challenges focus on helping the DEP meet climate resiliency goals and improve data management and governance. Learn More.
• Imagine H2O is an ecosystem partner on the UpLink - World Economic Forum's Aquapreneur Innovation Initiative. The Imagine H2O and UpLink strategic partnership will enhance support for startups as they scale, focusing on identifying high-impact innovations and providing specialized resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities. Applications for the Tackling Water Pollution Challenge are due August 31st. Learn More.
