Leading the Way: Cohort III Roadshow in London

Earlier this month we held the cohort III Roadshow in London. We brought together our 10 cohort companies for an intensive delegation, where they met with leading European climate tech VCs, CVCs, strategic partners, corporates and more.

Powering the Future: Bridging Energy & Mobility

We kicked off the week with the "Bridging Energy & Mobility" event, we held in partnership with Drive TLV , Next Gear Ventures and Ignite The Spark . The event sparked meaningful discussions about the transformative impact and need for clean energy solutions in mobility

ALL STARS 2024

At Ignite the Spark's Energy Tech All-Stars '24, Arielle Evan , our Program Manager led a panel discussion on hyperscaling energy tech companies. The panellists included founders that successfully raised growth rounds in 2024 - Moshiel Biton , CEO of Addionics and Ido Gonen , CTO of Exodigo , industry leaders who shared their insights on fundraising strategies in 2024.

#PLANETech World 2024

At #PLANETechWorld2024, we witnessed the innovative energy driving the Israeli climate tech eco system. The event underscored the importance of collaboration in accelerating progress to a net zero future.

We were proud to partner with PLANETech - Climate Change Technologies for the event. A big shout out to the team for organizing this important gathering.

Congrats to Hydro X , our Cohort I company for these wonderful achievements -

  • Silver Award out of 450 startups and projects at the TERA-Award.
  • First prize at the Asper Prize, Asper-HUJI Rising Startup of the year.

  • Strategic partnership announcement: Collaboration with energy giant CLP from the Asia-Pacific region.

Carbon Capture & Storage Collaboration

RepAir Carbon Capture and EnEarth announced a groundbreaking Direct Air Capture (DAC) and Storage partnership in Greece. Using RepAir's innovative technology, CO2 will be captured and stored permanently in the Prinos saline aquifer. When fully developed by 2028, the Prinos project will have the capacity to store 3 million tons of CO2 per year, generating green jobs and boosting the local economy.

Momentick - Emissions Intelligence was chosen by Google AI Labs as one of the most innovative AI applications. Their satellite-based emissions intelligence offers actionable insights to the global energy sector and governments, demonstrating AI's potential to transform businesses and change lives.

Bridging Academy and Industry

This month, Nadav Steinmetz , Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Climate First , participated in a panel at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology . He discussed:

  • The importance of translating academic research into practical climate solutions.
  • Israel's unique position as a potential leading global climate tech hub, due to its top-tier academic institutions and researchers.
  • The critical role of non-dilutive funding, which is essential for climate tech companies due to their capital-intensive nature and unique life cycles.

Climate First X Forbes Leadership Forum

This month we held the Climate First Leadership Forum. Guy Cherni , our Co-Founder and Managing Partner led a panel discussing climate tech innovation and investment amidst global challenges.
