June Newsletter

June Newsletter

Hi there!

Welcome to the first newsletter in the Work From Anywhere series. I'm so excited to launch this as one of the ways I can touch base with you in my Work From Anywhere online ecosystem!

This will be a monthly newsletter in which I'll be answering your questions and concerns around how to design an online business you can run from anywhere, even with zero prior business and tech experience.

We'll be covering a multitude of topics around my Get Ready Get Seen Get Business framework and the 6Ps of my Signature Work From Anywhere coaching programme:

GET READY

  • Positioning
  • Processes

GET SEEN

  • People
  • Platforms

GET BUSINESS

  • Packaging
  • Promotion

In this issue, I'll be focusing on the very start of your journey in the Get Ready, Positioning part of the process: Deciding Your Niche. This is the area of expertise that you will be building your business around.

I'll explore:

  • why it's important you have a niche,
  • why choosing a niche isn't limiting your options but expanding them,
  • how to decide your niche out of several (or no) options you may have, and
  • how to deal with imposter syndrome when it comes up.

Moving through this newsletter, I've got loads of tips and advice for you to take on board, some reading recommendations which you'll find in every issue, and an invitation to join me in my flagship My Business Launchpad course so you can get out of your own way and start building out that business by taking action!

?You've got this, and you really can work from anywhere!

The Work From Anywhere Coach

Niching down is so important. You can't possibly be all things to all people. And you couldn't serve everyone if you tried.

Being very specific in who you serve allows you to be very deliberate in your messaging.

Instead of getting prospective customers asking "Are they talking to me?"

you get them saying "Oh my, they really get me. Are they reading my mind? They understand me perfectly."

Once you start speaking with clarity about what you are doing in a single niche, you'll attract the ideal customers that need to be served by you, but you'll also experience a ripple effect where your message will also speak to others.

You won't lose out if you target down to one niche area. You'll only gain, and so will your customers.

?

As I've said, a lot of business owners resist niching down for fear of missing out (FOMO)! Actually, this is a scarcity mindset. In reality, the more you niche down, the more targeted you are, the clearer your message will be and the easier it will be to hit your target.

Which would you rather:

0% of 1 million or

90% of 100,000?

It's really not how many you target, but rather how accurate you are in targeting the right customers.

?

OK, so what area of expertise are you going to focus on?

This may be really obvious to you, what you are doing in your current job, or a hobby or passion you really love.

Or you may have a few and you can't decide, or nothing may be coming up for you right now at all.

All of these scenarios are good. Keep working on them until you have something you are sure feels right.?

If you narrow it down to two and you really can't decide, try the flipping a coin trick I cover in the video above. (No, it's not just letting the coin decide. Watch the video!)
