Welcome back to another issue of our Kombinatrotweiss newsletter! Here is a selection of our past month' projects as well as an introduction to our newest Artist: Julian Litschko!

SYLWIA KUBUS // FOOTBALL FEVER

The European Football Championship are happening! And speaking of which, Sylwia Kubus worked as an illustrator and animation director on the museum film "Football Fever - Football Stories from Rheinland-Pfalz". It is an interactive family exhibition on the subject of football in Rheinland-Pfalz that was opened in the State Museum Koblenz and the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress Cultural Center and will run until November 2024. Here is a short animated scene, you can watch the full-length football film on YouTube.

NEW ARTIST // JULIAN LITSCHKO

Julian lives and works in Hamburg as an illustrator and publishes his own books. His illustrations are always fun and can be taken with a grain of salt. In his playful vector graphics he uses flat, geometric shapes as well as bright colours and colour gradients. The spectrum of his striking motifs ranges from toys and fantasy to queer themes, subjects of study and living in the future, always illustrated from a unique, abstract perspective.

LORETTA IPSUM // SO SCHMECKT MAGAZINE

Loretta illustrated the current issue of Eat Club's cooking magazine 'So schmeckt' on the topic of sugar-free, using her colourful characters to illustrate the pages with recipes for sugar alternatives and natural sweeteners.

ROB LOEBEL // FETE DE LA MUSIQUE POSTER

Rob Loebel ?? was commissioned by the housing association Brandenburg ( wobra – Wohnungsbaugesellschaft ) to illustrate this year's poster for the Fête de la Musique on 21 June in Brandenburg an der Havel, which can currently be admired in oversize on a house facade.

ANDREA DE SANTIS // RESOURCES MAGAZINE

Andrea De Santis motif for the modernisation of the US electricity grid for the magazine Resources, which is published by the non-profit organisation Resources for the Future.

ANNE ALBERT // GOLISTIC BRANDING

For Golistic, a holistic provider of orthopaedic insoles, Anne Albert developed a character that guides customers through the product range both online and offline. The gender-neutral, empathetic character appears in numerous branding illustrations.

TILL WELLM // ADAC MAGAZINE

Till Wellm collages accompany an article on questions such as: ‘What am I allowed to do in the car? Can I eat while driving? Can I stick my legs out of the window while driving?’

STUDIO TOPIE // FAZ

Nils Kasiske aka Studio Topie's illustrated these motifs for FAZ educational projects to use in social media campaigns and postcards.

BELICTA CASTELBARCO // STERN MAGAZINE

Belicta Castelbarco new collages for stern accompany an article about: "MeToo in Brussels: Employees complain about a 'hunt for fresh meat'. Do the boundaries between politics and private life often become blurred in the European Parliament?"

ORIANA FENWICK // FORBES MAGAZIN

Oriana Fenwick photorealistic group portrait for Magazine Forbes on the Top 50 Entrepreneurial CMOs 2024.

MATTHIAS SCHARDT // BILANZ MAGAZINE

The Swiss business magazine BILANZ Wirtschaftsmagazin traditionally publishes a list of the 300 richest Swiss every year, and Matthias Schardt drew the portraits of the top ten. The list includes Gerard Wertheimer, Christoph Blocher and Jacob Safra.

SABINE ISRAEL // PHARMA INDUSTRY

Sabine Israel illustrated a dialog picture for a campaign of a new pharmaceutical product to depict various therapy pathways and treatment options for breast cancer.

MALTE KNAACK // JYSK

Malte Knaack drew this dialog picture for the 40th annual company meeting of Jysk . It shows the company’s vision and internal values as well as a successful customer journey in many small scenes.

HILARY ALLISON // THE NEW YORKER

And to finish of this issue - a new cartoon by Hilary for The New Yorker!
