Celebrating Health Equity Champions
Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center hosted its inaugural Equity Awards this year, recognizing the critical behind-the-scenes work that ZSFG providers do to ensure that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, particularly health equity,?are central to the culture at ZSFG. Nominated by colleagues, the winners of the awards included both individual practitioners and teams and exemplified a deep understanding of ZSFG’s commitment to infusing equity into all aspects of life on campus.

Everyone’s favorite sage?returned to Union Square this month, just in time for Star Wars Day (May the 4th). This Hearts in San Francisco sculpture, painted by local artist Lawrence Noble, brings joy to Star Wars fans each year.?

Each year, Nurses?Week is an opportunity to shine a light on the countless contributions made by ZSFG’s nursing staff and the exemplary nursing leaders who go above and beyond for their patients and their teams. June 30 will mark the end of service for four SFGHF Board of Directors members. Dr. Maria Ansari MD FACC , John Bell , Dr. Elena Fuentes-Afflick , and?Dr. Ted Miclau will each end their Board tenure after dedicating their time and talent to improving the health and wellness of the entire community.?The Foundation thanks them all for their service.?
