June news - raises, awards and events for July
Hello you,?
Carbon13 are fresh from two days together in Cambridge for strategy sessions, a very fancy team dinner at Kings College, and some cheeky late-night prosecco on Jesus Green.
And in our strategy sessions, if there was one theme running through everything, from our programme to our tech to our founders to our investors, it was community.
?
That means you.
?
It's thanks to your support for the Carbon13 mission of fighting the climate emergency through entrepreneurship that our ventures can get off the ground and get growing.
?

For partners
Last week saw Exploring Climatetech, the grand finale of the Venture Launchpad Cohort 3. It was our best "demo day" yet and that was down to the fantastic support from Barclays Eagle Labs who are the partners of the Venture Launchpad.
?
We were hosted at Barclays in Canary Wharf, introduced by Nick Stace OBE, Head of Barclays UK Sustainable Finance & Social Purpose, followed by special roundtables for Barclays team members to deepdive with the ventures, then onto the lightning pitches and keynote from Earthshot winning Notpla's founder Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez.
Other updates this month:
- All the raises, news and job opps from our startups
- Materials Nexus announce discovery of a rare-earth-free permanent magnet
