Leading Australian Charity Achieves Secure, Scalable Document Management With Microsoft 365

A leading Australian charity faced significant challenges with their on-premises file shares, including limited accessibility, outdated infrastructure, and high maintenance costs, managing approximately 1.1 million files and 149,000 folders. Antares implemented a multi-phased migration to Microsoft 365 (M365), starting with a detailed discovery phase and a proof of concept using AvePoint's Fly tool. The migration was structured into four waves, each followed by training sessions and a soft-change freeze to prevent data duplication. The transition to SharePoint Online in M365 enabled secure, anytime-anywhere access to files, enhanced collaboration with real-time co-authoring, and improved data security, effectively addressing the charity's challenges.

Oral Exam Application On Microsoft Teams

NESA sought a solution to provide a remote exam experience akin to face-to-face exams for more than 6,000 students. The solution needed to ensure security, accessibility, efficiency, and scalability were considered. Antares proposed using Microsoft Teams to create a virtual exam environment. Deployed in 2022 for 300 exams and expanded to 550 in 2023, the solution included a web app for setting up exams, managing student lists, and generating emails. Examiners verified students and conducted exams via an application, with recordings automatically uploaded to NESA's system. This streamlined the process, providing a consistent, efficient experience for students and examiners.

The solution design and delivery practice allowed NESA to be involved in UI design decisions throughout the process, ensuring that minor changes or new requests could be handled without significantly impacting the project. Life at Antares

Antares, in collaboration with the Cloud Collective, hosted a Biggest Morning Tea event in May to support the Cancer Council. The event was a resounding success, raising over $1500 to aid in cancer research and support services. The funds raised will contribute significantly to ongoing efforts in cancer research and patient support. Thank you to all involved and brining awareness to such a great cause.
