She Loves Data
We empower women with free tech/data training and provide a global, diverse and inclusive support network

It takes a village to bolster your mental health.
It’s great to see things picking up again.
In Singapore, where I am based, public spaces like shopping malls and restaurants are filling up with customers just like the good old days. Physical trade shows and events are back, a sign of commercial activities picking up. Internationally, we’re also seeing more flights return to the skies as global travel resumes.
Despite these upsides, many of us are also grappling with anxieties about the state of the economy – inflationary pressures are real, brought on by supply-demand mismatches and labor shortages that could last throughout the year. And with inflation challenges, comes the risk of recession.
As if the past two years had not been stressful enough, the uncertainties brought on by these macro-economic trends can inevitably take a toll on the mental health of many, especially women.
While there are certain aspects of the macro-economic trends which are beyond our control, it’s important to keep in mind what are within our means to ride through the wave ahead.
Coming off the heels of the Mental Health Awareness Month, our team at She Loves Data acknowledge the role of communities like ours in providing an ecosystem of support for our members, to help them navigate the challenges in our world today. That is why we remain steadfast in our mission to build a global network, supported by our local chapters, where women can come together to learn, motivate, and grow together in the digital economy.
To really help our community prepare for today and the future, we’re constantly working to deliver workshops and programs, to help our members build highly relevant skills and gain data literacy, to support them in their professional growth.
We can remain paralyzed by fear over what the future holds, or we can choose to take actions to bolster our capabilities today, so we are better prepared for the road ahead. So, let’s support each other as we overcome what’s ahead.
Brace yourselves. Have a great June!
