June: The Month Brands Unleashed the Power of Reactive Marketing (and lots of football)
The Euros are in full swing and with this, so are many brand’s football themed marketing campaigns! But, this month also welcomes the UK’s largest music festival, Glastonbury. And brands are jumping on the hype left, right and centre too.?
Both events remind us of the power reactive marketing can have. Not only does it keep your brand current, it gets people talking about who and what you are – increasing brand exposure.?
Plus, if you’re looking for an agency to help you pull out all the stops - we might just be able to help. In the meantime though, let’s take a look at what’s been going on in June at Media Village and beyond…
Marketing Moves?
Mesmerising: Daniel Savage’s kaleidoscopic animations
We’re no strangers to animation at Media Village, but it’s safe to say Daniel Savage’s kaleidoscopic animations have well and truly caught our attention. Made using marker pen, Daniel’s most recent invention is innovation at its best.?
Daniel has set up a scientific system in which his pen plotter robot creates multi-layered marker drawings that form the frames for his brightly-coloured abstract animations.
Although, it’s worth noting Daniel Savage hasn’t always been in the world of visual arts... Starting out as a musician, he found his transition to design natural, noting “it’s all about rhythm”. The musician turned designer/illustrator took “pretty naturally” to animation when he first started to explore motion in his work.?
No More Injury Time campaign raises awareness of domestic abuse linked to Football competitions?
Charity Solace, the National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV), lifestyle publisher Four Nine, and social agency The Wild By Jungle have created the "No More Injury Time" campaign. This initiative features an alternative England kit, Shirt 38, designed to highlight the sobering reality that “when we lose, she loses more.” The shirt includes a faint England flag, three lions facing backward with their tails down, and the slogan "No More Injury Time" in place of a sponsor's logo.?
The campaign groups' identities appear on the sleeves, and the number 38 with a small % sign is prominent on the back. A launch film will run during England’s group stage games and on the campaign groups' websites and social channels.
Habitat packs a punch with 60th Birthday campaign?
Habitat is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a distinctive out-of-home (OOH) campaign featuring giant 3D billboards. The campaign, designed by New Commercial Arts, is titled "Love Design, Love Habitat" and highlights the brand's commitment to design excellence and innovation.?
Billboards showcasing various homeware items, will be displayed in prominent UK locations including London, Manchester, and Birmingham. This initiative emphasises Habitat's legacy and future vision of transforming living spaces through thoughtful and stylish design.
