No, it is not June Fool's day. The PGA Tour and LIV Golf are Merging!

You are a PGA Tour player. You worked hard your way up and have some brilliant years still ahead of you.

A “Rogue” Tour [as it has been labeled] calls you to offer you say… $75 million dollars to joy them.

In addition to the signing money, you will have your own team and you will have the option of fighting several times a year for money bags higher than any on the Tour.

Very tempting but the PGA Tour executives start bullying and pressuring you to decline the offer and stay in the Tour.

At the end [so they said] what truly matters is the Legacy and don’t worry the money will come later.

Ok you take the bait and stay.?

Only to see how from time to time you miss cuts with no pay and end with a nice [not] logistic bill for the efforts during the week. But that doesn't matter because you are doing the right thing.

At least you get the chance of fighting for spots in the Four majors and a spot in the Ryder Cup team [depending on your nationality].

Happy days.

Meanwhile in Mickelson - Norman Land, a few of your old fellow Tour players took massive payouts [in the millions of USD] and are enjoying a better paid and more relaxed Golf LifeStyle.

You take comfort in the fact that at least you won’t see them either in the Majors…but hold on…

Augusta National, the Trustees of the PGA Championship, the US Golf Association and the organiser of The Open made Public that all eligible LIV players will be able to compete if they wish.

You must sign off in certain designated events that are either a week before or a week after the Majors causing you a major logistic inconvenience.

You discover that the likelihood of some LIV Golf players joining the Ryder Cup Teams is increasing by the day as we approach the Rome Meeting in September.

And this morning we wake up ready to have a nutritious breakfast and start your training, stretching or recovery session when you saw in the news..[or even worst …in Social Media] the latter from the PGA Commissioner saying that the PGA Tour and the company owing the rights of LIV Golf has entered into an agreement to Merge!

In that way and with the financial support of the LIV Golf Organisation a new Tour will be created where All [yes all!] players regardless their Card [PGA or LIV] will be able to play together.

So, as it turns out… the Tour that bullied you into staying “For the Legacy and The Game!” Threw you under the Bus and is now allowing the guys who the big Cheque to play next to you and were Loyal and declined the juicy offer.

Now back to the rest of us, I don’t know you but I will feel disappointed, betrayed and pretty much P#%^&d Off with the PGA Tour Commissioner to say the least.

Moral Learning of the Story?

If it is completely Legal, ignore what others say, look after yourself and Take the Money!

In the Winner and Losers game, the Winners are The LIV Player and we the fans and the Losers … some PGA Tour player for whom I feel sorry and the PGA Tour Commissioner.

Some PGA Players and staring to express frustration and disappointment.

At the time of writing Tiger Woods hasn’t made a public comment yet.

Let’s see how things unfold in the upcoming weeks specially with the US Open and The Open around the corner.
