NEW DWCS SERVICE: Do you have global customers/prospects in countries with a primary language other than English? LinkedIn offers profile translations in?23?languages but it's not perfect! Translated profiles must be reviewed by someone fluent in the language of your choice.?Veronica Paipa, our accomplished Virtual Assistant who actually?lives?15min from me (!) is here to help with creating or reviewing your Spanish profile. Once saved, a LinkedIn member residing in a Spanish-speaking country will automatically see your profile in Spanish. Very cool.?Contact us?for details!

LinkedIn Tips and More

TIP 1

Are you using the?FEATURED?option?on your LinkedIn profile? Think of it as a special area for 'repurposing' Posts, Newsletters, *Articles, Links, and Media. You'll notice on my profile that 3 Featured items really stand out and earlier items are saved to the right of them. (*If you Blog, you can easily repurpose that content into a LinkedIn?Article!)

How to use the Featured option

1. Visit your profile & under your location, tap Add Profile Section

2. Under Recommended, tap Add Featured

3. Tap + and choose what you'd like to re-purpose; a Post is an easy start

4. Review your latest Posts and tap Feature under the desired Post

5. Exit and you'll now see your choice prominently 'Featured' above your Activity.

NOTE:?Always make a statement about the Post - it's an opportunity to call further attention to it!

TIP 2

What do you do after CONNECTING??We'd like to suggest you take action with one (or more) of the following:

1. Write a brief 'Thank You' note in the Messaging Center
2. Leave a 1-minute Voice Message 'thank you' using the mobile app
3. Engage often with their posts; Liking or Commenting to add value

If not, why not?! This is a?free?option available to all LinkedIn members to expand your reach, network, and validation of what you do. To start a Page, tap on 'For Business' at the far right of the Navigation bar and choose the last option to?Create a Company Page?(now simply called:?LinkedIn Page), and follow the steps. If you need help, contact us! :)

Claudia Harden?is someone I've known for 20yrs - since we worked together in the Marketing/Development Department of the Palm Beach Zoo. In 2016, she transitioned from the 'big cat realm' to the smaller variety, working at?Cat Depot?in Sarasota and is currently?their Director of Communications & Development overseeing the marketing/PR, community education, fundraising, retail, and volunteer divisions.

The winning response to last month's question!

We asked business owners of 20+ years to offer their #1 tip for running a successful business.

Laura Eiman, Certified Women’s Mental Toughness Coach, (Laura Eiman, LLC) delivered the following insights:

"Stop looking at the scoreboard. In other words, stop measuring your successes by how many “Likes” you got today, how many followers you got this week, or how many sales you made this month.?

Instead, focus on technique: Sales follow when you create quality relationships with the right clients, over time.

I used to compete in Olympic Weightlifting. The person who could lift the most weight over their head won! So every day in training I was obsessed with lifting heavy. My focus was “looking at the scoreboard”.?This fear-based mindset prevented me from training correctly. I was losing. Finally, I got smart: I began to focus on technique and strategy.?I stopped watching the scoreboard. Guess what? That barbell flew up over my head and I started winning.?Imagine that. :)
