Baromètre de l’audience du e-commerce : 1er trimestre 2024
En moyenne, 50 millions d’internautes (78% des Fran?ais) ont consulté, chaque mois, au moins un des sites et/ou applications du Top 20 soit 2 millions de plus qu’au 1er?trimestre 2023. Cette progression s’explique en particulier par les bonnes performances enregistrées par les sites de voyages dont l’audience bénéficie d’un contexte particulièrement favorable avec les nombreux ponts du mois de mai et la tenue des JO à Paris. Pour rappel, selon une récente étude réalisée pour le compte de la Fevad?: 70% des Fran?ais déclarent rechercher des informations sur internet préalablement à l’achat d’un service ??voyage/tourisme??.

E-commerce has saved the French €17 billion: the equivalent of over a year of inflation
Compass Lexecon, specialising in economic intelligence, was commissioned by Amazon to study the perception of French people on the contributions of e-commerce to their overall shopping experience; as well as the effect of e-commerce in terms of inflation reduction and protection of their purchasing power. This is the first study of this kind conducted in France to our knowledge.

The retailer did not share the date of the sales event yet, but said it will share more details as it gets closer. Shopify’s Shop App Is a Maybe $1 Billion Marketplace
Shopify’s almost-marketplace Shop app is approaching a $1 billion GMV run rate. It’s not a shopping destination but drives sales as a by-product of the Shopify ecosystem. “In Q4, the Shop app nearly reached $100 million in GMV in a single month, underscoring the immense value we can bring to our merchants, a feature that is only available if you are on Shopify,” said Harley Finkelstein, Shopify’s president, said when discussing 2023 Q4 results.
