NEW AUTOMATION FOR INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SWING DOORS

A versatile solution for security

The A952 automation system for swing doors, developed by FAAC, stands out as a state-of-the-art product offering a wide range of applications for both indoor and outdoor use, ensuring uncompromising security and convenience.

Thanks to its innovative spring system, the A952 automation can be configured for both push and pull functions, depending on the installation type (sliding or articulated arm). This flexibility allows for the adaptation of the automation to various needs, whether it be standard applications, emergency exits, fire-resistant doors, or smoke evacuation systems, suitable for environments ranging from educational institutions, airports, hospitals, to hotels, residential buildings, and offices.

Additional features include spring opening even in the event of power failure, a mechanical coordinator for integrated double door closure, a synchronized double door application, the SAFE FLOW/TOUCH FREE device enabling contactless entries, and a user-friendly programming display, making it the ideal solution for every application.

Why the Automatic Door Installation Association Isn’t Run by a Committee

In the realm of professional associations, the structure and governance of the organisation play crucial roles in its effectiveness and credibility. The Automatic Door Installation Association has chosen a governance model that avoids being run by a committee of its member companies. Here’s why this approach benefits the industry and enhances the association’s mission.

Unbiased Decision-Making

One of the most significant advantages of an independently managed association is the elimination of conflicts of interest. When a committee comprises representatives from member companies, there is a risk that decisions may be influenced by individual business interests rather than the needs of the industry as a whole. Independent management ensures decisions are made impartially, focusing on the collective good.

Avoiding Conflicts of Interest: Committees of member companies can inadvertently prioritise their own businesses’ needs, leading to biased decisions. An independent body makes choices based on what benefits the entire industry.

Neutral Perspective: With no direct ties to specific companies, independent management maintains a neutral stance, fostering fairness and balance in decision-making processes.

Strategic Consistency

An independently managed association can maintain a long-term vision without being swayed by the short-term interests of committee members. This strategic consistency is vital for sustainable growth and forward-thinking initiatives.

Long-Term Vision: Independent management can focus on long-term goals for the industry, rather than being influenced by the changing priorities of committee members.

Stable Leadership: Continuity in leadership ensures that the association’s strategies remain consistent, providing a stable foundation for industry-wide initiatives.

Enhanced Credibility

An association that is not influenced by the agendas of specific companies builds greater trust and credibility within the industry. This unbiased approach enhances the reputation of both the association and its members.

Industry Trust: By avoiding the influence of individual companies, the association gains trust and is seen as a fair representative of the entire industry.

Public Confidence: Regulatory bodies and the public are more likely to view the association as ethical and reliable, bolstering its credibility and the industry's reputation.

Efficient Operations

Independent management streamlines decision-making processes, reducing the bureaucracy often associated with committees. This efficiency leads to faster implementation of initiatives and more agile responses to industry challenges.

Streamlined Processes: With professional managers at the helm, the association can quickly and efficiently execute its plans, free from the delays common in committee-led organisations.

Professional Management: Hiring experts in association management ensures effective administration and resource allocation, enhancing the overall performance of the organisation.

Focus on Industry-Wide Benefits

An independently managed association can dedicate its efforts to initiatives that benefit the entire industry, such as standardisation, training, and advocacy, without being sidetracked by the goals of individual member companies.

Holistic Approach: Independent management allows the association to focus on broad initiatives that uplift the entire industry, rather than catering to specific company interests.

Wider Industry Representation: Decisions are made with a comprehensive view, ensuring that even smaller or less influential members are considered and represented.

Conclusion

The Automatic Door Installation Association’s choice to operate independently rather than being run by a committee of its member companies ensures unbiased decision-making, strategic consistency, enhanced credibility, efficient operations, and a focus on industry-wide benefits. This governance model is key to fostering a fair, effective, and trustworthy association that serves the best interests of all its members and the industry as a whole.

By prioritising the collective good over individual business interests, the ADIA continues to lead the way in promoting excellence and innovation in the automatic door installation industry.
