Publications

Earlier this month, the IVSC published a new Perspectives Paper titled "Inspections of Tangible Assets as Part of the Valuation Process." This paper, issued by the IVSC's Tangible Assets Board, addresses the evolving methodologies and the importance of inspections in the valuation process.

The paper discusses how technological advancements, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, have influenced the approach to asset inspections, highlighting both the benefits and challenges of various inspection types, from traditional physical inspections to technology-based virtual assessments. It also explores the current requirements under the International Valuation Standards (IVS) and provides guidance on best practices for conducting inspections.
