Stephan Schmitz

We are very excited to share that?Stephan's?ingenious cover for New Scientist magazine has won the?Readers’ Choice award for Best Conceptual Cover from the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME).?

Longlisted

AOI World Illustration Awards

Delighted to say that three Folio artists have made it onto the?longlist!

Michael Driver?was commissioned for the?Gold List feature on Conde Nast Traveller's website, providing a round-up of?editor-recommended hotels and resorts for 2023. Paired with our production studio?Folio Lab, his charming characters are brought to life in a series of sleek animations.

Meanwhile,?Michael Parkin?worked with Wide Open Studio on the branding for?St Doro Limoncello,?reflecting the rustic home-grown nature of their business and celebrating a journey from humble beginnings.?

His children's puzzles for Mudpuppy?illustrate the sense of scale between different creatures,?helping to encourage natural curiosity.

In our latest blog post, we look at?how responsive animations can?make

the user experience more engaging for apps and websites. Whether it's a?button bouncing when clicked or a menu unfurling, these can add an element of surprise and personality to online content.

Short Film

Daniel Clarke

"Aau's Song"?was the final?short film to be released in?Star Wars: Visions Volume 2, an animated?anthology series produced by Lucasfilm.?Co-written and directed by Daniel Clarke and Nadia Darries,?it's a unique and heart-warming tale about a?young girl finding her voice and learning to use it for the greater good.?

Daniel's storyboard and character designs were developed by the wonderful team at?Triggerfish Animation Studio with stunning results.
