Organised by Groundwork NE & Cumbria , it was an opportunity for the business the give back to the surrounding community which has played a big part in the site's history since the 1950s.
This activity also aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11 'Sustainable Cities & Communities' which encompasses (amongst others) providing access to safe, inclusive green public spaces for women, children, people with disabilities and older people.
We're already looking forward to showing our support in the form of another litter pick later in summer!?
