Party with PeakLeads!

At the end of May, our team hosted a party to celebrate our new brand name, PeakLeads.io, as well as our company's fifth anniversary. A great variety of friends and family came out to downtown Denver for a night of celebration. We caught up over a cocktail hour, enjoyed delicious Hibachi and desserts and toasted to a bright future. It was a blast! Thanks to everyone who came to support our team. Cheers to 5 years..and many more to come!

Hot Trend in Roofing:?Solar Roofing

How big is the US solar industry, and what is its growth trajectory?

Currently, the US solar industry employs about 242,000 people and generates tens of billions of dollars of economic value. By the end of September 2019, the US had deployed over 2 million solar PV systems, totaling about 71,300 MW of solar capacity, and generating over 100 TWh of electricity (2019 total, est.). In 2018, solar generated about 1.5% of US electricity. Of all renewable energy generation, solar PV is expected to grow the fastest from now to 2050. Some solar-heavy grids, such as the California Independent System Operator have experienced times where over half of demand was met by solar PV. Demand will increase for a broad range of solar products such as solar-powered generators, portable smartphone chargers, outdoor motion sensor lights, backpacks, and cookers. How does solar even work to provide all these benefits? It’s a physical and chemical reaction between solar panels and the sunlight. The name of the science behind it is called the “photovoltaic effect."

Solar installations are beneficial to the consumer and the roofers! Some customers tend to be scared to make the switch because the cost of the solar roof can be more expensive than traditional roof designs in the past. In reality, the cost of these solar roofs has so many benefits financially for the customer that actually they wind up saving more financially in the long run and also help the roofer receive the most in revenue. With this being the case the customer will not only get their money back in a tax return but then they will receive lower energy bills monthly that counteract the cost in the long run. People who have solar roofs tend to save an average of $4,000 a year. Solar panels also tend to need updates regularly that will cause a return in business. With the price increase on the consumer's end, the balance of the cost is still equal to a decrease on the customer end and growth in sales in roofers.

?Advantages of Solar Roofing

  • Get a more predictable electric bill
  • Offset time-of-use (TOU) rates
  • Earn electricity credits through net metering.
  • Take advantage of federal and state incentives
  • The cost of solar is going down
  • Increase your home’s value.
  • Solar panels offer long-term value
  • The solar industry is creating jobs?
  • Positive environment impact
  • Sunlight costs $0!
