Building on Excellence: Project Updates

We're thrilled by the enthusiasm surrounding the Structural Truss FormaSteel project near Fort Macleod! Last week marked a significant milestone as we began erecting the steel structure for one of the three buildings that will form this remarkable facility.

If you've driven by recently, you might have noticed the large crane lifting steel into place. At Westco Construction, we pride ourselves on pushing the boundaries of innovation, and this project is no exception. Thanks to our talented Site Supervisor, Wes, we've integrated the Ludwig Hook into our steelwork. This ingenious tool is revolutionizing our on-site safety and efficiency.

The Ludwig Hook is a true game-changer, allowing us to release loads remotely with the push of a button from a safe distance. This means no more ladders or lifting platforms, as the hook and slings remain on the crane, accelerating operations and significantly enhancing safety.

Darren Slomp's guidance has been the compass for our crews, steering us through every challenge with grace and wisdom. He has not only helped shape structures but has also helped mold a team that stands strong together. Westco Construction is excited to announce our upcoming community initiatives this June. We are proud to sponsor the Lethbridge Bulls' 25th Anniversary Home Opener on June 5.
