July's Manufacturing Productivity Bulletin

Welcome to the Manufacturing Productivity Bulletin - July?(how did that happen)?edition.

There's never a quiet month in manufacturing and June was no exception!?MakeUK Q2 survey?demonstrated (once again) just how resilient the manufacturing sector is and albeit with an air of caution, the outlook further ahead shows no signs of things dipping.

Shortly after the Q2 report was issued, various media outlets, including? The Manufacturer, reported a 300% YoY increase in orders. This surge in demand from the aerospace sector will certainly be welcome news for the OEMs and the wider supply chain. However, it would be na?ve to ignore the reports of?manufacturers citing Brexit barriers?as the cause for a 16th consecutive month of falling exports.?

This month's productivity bulletin also includes our latest guide that looks to address 'common misconceptions about factory digitisation', we also share a?blog?that includes our thoughts around OEE, the benefits, important things to consider and how, if implemented correctly, can help manufacturers achieve manufacturing excellence. And finally, we couldn't miss the opportunity to tell you that we made it onto the?Yorkshire Tech Climbers shortlist of 2023.?

Thanks and Happy Manufacturing,

The FourJaw Manufacturing Analytics Team
