July's Issue of Design Your Future - The Lazy, Hazy Dog Days of Summer

Can you feel that, or is it just me?

The lazy, hazy dog days of summer are here! Or are they?

Are you able to enjoy the summer months or do you so feel overwhelmed with all the tasks that "need" to get done that you can't fully enjoy the outdoor patios, the pool, or the beach?

Here are some tips I learned on my journey on how to work when at work, and how to play on the beach when at the beach. Trust me, you don't want to take work to the beach during these precious and glorious summer months in this great nation of Canada.

1. Book Your Vacation. If you haven't done this yet, do it now. Don't forget to take pictures!

2. Book and Schedule your Family Activities. Don't forget to take pictures!

3. Unplug. Turn the phone, TV, News OFF - at least for an hour a day. Do you think you can do it for a week?

4. If able, instead of working 5 days, work 4 - can you do 3???

5. Make Arrangements for the Children.

How does this make you more money?

You have to operate as a switch of either ON or OFF, not as a variance of gears.

Summer is a great time to recharge so you can go full ON for the rest of the year.

I’ve talked to quite a few consultants lately and most of them are extremely frustrated and concerned about our inflation problems, the likelihood of more red tape and tax increases, and losses in the market.?They share my concerns with the current financial industry that is not addressing these issues.?

Starting Aug 15, we are starting to offer free weekly live mentoring sessions series called "Millionaire Mindset on Mondays" addressing this - all of this and currently working on an online financial planning course for business owners.

It's been a busy year and I know that time gets away from us quite quickly.?
