July? Well, That Flew By!

With the school summer holidays firmly on the horizon, it can be common for things to slow down once we reach July, but not here at Bespoke Plaster Mouldings!

No matter what the month, you'll always find our team of expert craftsmen working hard on a wide range of bespoke projects.

With that in mind, let's take a look back at some of our favourite projects from July.

Restoration projects are always up there with some of our favourites, and this ceiling restoration definitely didn't disappoint!

Using the original (left picture) as a template, our team handcrafted the intricate replacement ceiling, ready to be installed and painted for a seamless finish.

Now for something a little bit different, a fluted pilaster for an arch.

Another quality example of why we believe in the importance of traditional methods, this large fluted pilaster was crafted by hand for a bespoke finish that machinery simple cannot compete with!

How it started v.s How it's going...

Believe it or not, this curved cornice mould (left) is how all of our handcrafted cornices start their lives in the workshop!

On the right you'll find just two examples of finished cornices in their final homes.

July was certainly a busy month for the team in the workshop, and this beam case was just one of many projects we had on the go!

Another project that started its life in a similar way to our cornices, this beam case was expertly handcrafted through various stages by two of our craftsmen for a crisp finish.

Just look at those unwavering parallel lines! ??
