A July View Into Local News

July’s issue offers a deep dive into wine: American wineries specifically. First, a report on the decline of wine consumption. Diminishing wine consumption and, therefore, sales isn’t solely a U.S. market phenomenon but the report on wineries and supplier support systems shows how domestic businesses are recalibrating to the demographic shift and its next-generation expectations. While an included national report on East Coast wineries didn’t include Connecticut or Rhode Island in its New England overview, the wealth of tastes and talent in these two coverage states in my jurisdiction, for lack of a better word, should never be overlooked: you can read it all here. Locally, we have an amazing show of wineries between these two states, and retailers, bar managers and wholesalers know the value of including state wineries in their portfolio mix. What else? Tons of Connecticut and Rhode Island events fill the pages through our last deadline—and more to come. Spring tastings continued, trade events filled with guests and cocktail competitions kept things colorful. As always, the Around Town galleries remain your platform for sharing market news, helping connect buyers more broadly to the brands you sell. State trade association news covers the important topics for you, so read up! Prices and products are of course at our core. Visit the site: it's too much to post! Happy summer! Let us know how we can help you.
