July in Tech: What You Need to Know to Stay Ahead

JetSoftPro, as always, helps you stay updated on technological trends and hot ideas this month. We present you with three new topics in the world of technology that specialists will be discussing (and trying to apply) this July and in the coming months.

1. AI Scams

Recently, ChatGPT-4 passed the Turing test, deceiving an observer who believed they were conversing with a real person. This is very good news for scammers. While debates about the quality of AI-generated content and its impact on the global world continue, fraudsters manage to integrate AI into criminal schemes. Here are a few examples. Voice telephony that doesn't work on a pre-written script but generates voice responses based on what the user replies.

This can be very convincing and incredibly widespread. Another option is icebreakers or the generation of phrases that help find an approach to a specific person based on their public data. Imagine being contacted by an AI scammer who knows everything from your LinkedIn page and can also infer your interests based on data from your page. This is almost like extrasensory perception.

While AI fraud is a new industry and there are no clear recommendations for counteraction, we should all be cautious when sending money or data to someone.

2. A New Breath for Logistics

In the world of demand and consumption, who are we without quality logistics? Unfortunate, unable to keep up with the pace of world development. Logistics is gaining momentum, and in the second half of 2024, we want to draw your attention to two actively developing innovations. These are digital freight marketplaces and flexible logistics. Digital freight marketplaces are platforms where the customer, manufacturer, and transporter can find each other, and the system itself generates the most rational routes and matching. These systems require significant computing power, but the financial effect and speed of logistics are worth the investment. Flexible logistics primarily means the ability to prioritize orders in real-time. Modern algorithms learn to determine the importance of an order, and its impact on subsequent events and orders, and to develop routes considering these priorities. In short, flexible logistics is a resource distribution system that ensures the delivery of an urgent order to your largest client without inconveniencing other clients and without creating an overtime rush for employees.

3. Community Ventures

The world is global, but people stick to their own. A new popular trend gaining momentum is venture funds and other organizations that help new businesses, based on social groups such as LGBTQ+ or parents in Chicago.

Club culture penetrates deeper into the investment sphere, taking networking to a new level. You can simply look for an investor, or you can increase your chances of success by considering the social group you belong to, to gain more support. Emotional connection comes to the fore during pitching, so don’t rush to discard the slide with the values, vision, and mission of your new business from your presentation deck.

You can also conduct additional research on the lives of social groups to gain more support based on the common interests of your business and the community.

Look forward to the next issue of our newsletter in early August!
