Serbia: Electronic invoicing for B2B transactions will come into effect in January 2023. In May 2022 the process for B2G transactions was completed, followed by G2B in July 2022. B2B e-invoicing implementation includes issuance, processing, and storage of e-invoices between private institutions. Further information about the process can be found on the related news page.

Saudi Arabia: In Saudi Arabia, the updated documents of Fatoorah have been published by ZATCA. In the document, named the E-Invoicing Detailed Technical Guide, the updated technical details of Fatoorah, the differences between the first and second phases, and the whole process are explained in detail. Vietnam: E-invoicing became mandatory in Vietnam in July 2022. Businesses now have to issue e-invoices in electronic format. Taxpayers who do not comply with process will be punished. According to the latest figures, the rate of transition to e-invoicing is approximately 92.6%. It’s a crucial step for Vietnam’s e-transformation process. The Philippines: The Philippines' new e-invoicing system is called the Electronic Invoicing/Receipting System (EIS) . The main goals of the system are supporting the pilot phase of e-invoicing and digitizing the tax audit process. B2B e-invoicing, e-receipts (B2C), as well as debit and credit notes are in the scope of the new system. Here are the most important updates about the Philippines' e-invoicing implementation.?

Portugal: The Tax Authority of Portugal has made legislative changes concerning “paperless invoicing". The main goals of changes are to overcome constraints and simplify both the communication process and the processing of information. France: The obligation to create e-invoices and e-reports was introduced on July 1, 2024 for large companies. Documents updated periodically by the government, most recently on June 30, 2022, serve as a guide. All taxpayers are required to issue electronic invoices. Recent changes to the documentation and other important details can be found here.

Egypt: Following a decision taken by the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA), businesses are obliged to submit e-invoices to the related portal. Frequently asked questions about Egypt’s e-invoicing implementation are available on SNI’s blog (link).

Thailand: E-invoicing implementation is not mandatory in Thailand. However, if taxpayers want to send e-invoices to their customers, they must be reported to the national system, named E-Tax Invoice and Receipt. The E-Tax Invoice and Receipt system is the first step of Thailand’s e-invoicing process. More information about the implementation process can be found here.
