July: A Heart warming Month of Solar Transformation for elderly users!

July was a particularly exciting month for Solarpro, as we witnessed first hand how solar power can change lives. Our Rent-to-Buy program brought the gift of clean, reliable energy to a group of people who need it most: the elderly. With the generous support of their children, many elderly individuals were able to transition to solar power, enhancing their quality of life and ensuring energy security. This makes us wake up everyday to travel throughout the country to bring sustainable energy to our communities.

Empowering the Elderly with Solar Power

For many elderly individuals, consistent and reliable power is crucial. It powers essential medical devices, ensures a comfortable living environment, and provides the necessary energy for daily activities. However, frequent power cuts have made it difficult for many to enjoy these basic comforts throughout Southern Africa. Understanding these challenges, Solarpro’s Rent-to-Buy program has offered an invaluable solution, as we work with family members to bring solar power to those who need the most. Our rent to buy systems start from as little as USD147 per month.

1. Family Support: This month, we have seen an outpouring of support from families who have sponsored solar installations for their elderly parents. Using our rent to buy program they have made some sacrifices and through Solarpro enabled parents, siblings to lead near to normal lives with solar. Having solar means they can buy and store meat in their fridges without worrying about power cuts. It also means more savings as their electricity bills are cut by half leaving more money for other essentials. This gesture of love and care goes beyond financial assistance; it ensures peace of mind knowing their loved ones are secure and comfortable.

• Mr. and Mrs. Sachikonye: Sponsored by their children living abroad, the Sachikonyes were able to install a solar system that powers their entire home. They no longer worry about power cuts affecting their daily routine or medical equipment. Their children expressed joy and relief knowing their parents are safe and comfortable.
• Mrs Mukahlera : A retired school teacher, Mrs Mukahlera stays in Chitungwiza struggled with the frequent power cuts, especially during the hot summer months. Her sons' decision to sponsor a solar installation has allowed her to enjoy her retirement without the constant stress of power interruptions.
