We published the 2022 Sustainability Report, A Goal in Every Cup. The report is a tool through which we account for our commitment to the environment, the communities in which we operate and the People, at the basis of all our activities. Because transparency toward all stakeholders is a fundamental principle that guides our activities.
?As Lavazza Group, we have been releasing the Report on a voluntary basis since 2015. We believe measuring our sustainability performance is a necessary step to mitigate the impact of the company's activities and enhance good practices. It is an act of transparency toward our stakeholders that we consider fundamental for a Group like ours, which puts environmental, social and economic sustainability at the center of its plans for growth and development.? A Legacy of Quality: Lavazza at Wimbledon
In July, the competition heated up on the green lawns of Wimbledon. Our global brand Lavazza was present, as it has been for over a decade, to support the fans of the world’s oldest tennis tournament, showcasing our Group’s dedication to serving an authentic coffee experience. Whether it was on the courts, at home or at the Flagship Store, just a stone’s throw from Regent Street, passion for excellence was the common theme in the partnership between Lavazza and the Wimbledon championships.
The bond between Lavazza and the world of tennis, first born on British soil, is grounded on solid shared values. This year it was also the perfect setting to present the highlights of our 2022 Sustainability Report, showcasing our latest environmental and social results.
One of Canada’s Most Trusted Brands Has a New CEO
This month, there are lots of celebratory news coming from our sustainable “wild” jewel Kicking Horse. It has been recognized as the most trusted brand in the Coffee/Tea category in Canada by the Gustavson Brand Trust Index, while also reaching 5th place overall in Employee Treatment Ratings and 2nd place in the Ontario Region. A result that is a testament to our worldwide coffee family commitment toward a safe, inclusive and trustful work environment.
Secondly, a mention-worthy change took place in the governance, Cédric Malaga , has taken the reigns as new CEO, following the retirement of co-founder Elana Rosenfeld. We wish Cedrìc good luck in leading our most unconventional and courageous brand in North America.
A Purposeful Pathway: Sustainability for Our Group
?We have always placed protecting the environment and the communities with which we work at the center of our way of operating. We support the creation or joining of multi-stakeholder collaborative networks, with institutions, non-governmental organizations, precompetitive associations and suppliers. And it is this vision that has led us to take often unprecedented paths in the field of sustainability. Paths that are recognized as innovative and capable of generating shared value, the objective at the basis of our Purpose: "Awakening a better world every morning".
