Welcome to your July CCCI Newsletter as ever this edition is jam packed with goodies, from the latest CCCI news to events and free courses. For all of you who like to book in early we also have most of our Autumn events up on the CCCI Calendar including ?our 2 confirmed Socials for the season, with a Theatre Trip to CFT and a Murder Mystery night at Stansted Park, these are all listed at the end of this Newsletter.
We are definitely all still on a high from the fabulous Chichester and Bognor Business Awards, what a night! June’s Business Breakfast
Thank you to Claire Henley of Cachet Associates for her captivating presentation at our last Business Breakfast - it certainly brought out the inner child in most of us (Phil Salton).
CCCI - Chichester and Bognor Business Awards

Canal Boat Social
It has to be said there is nothing quite like a leisurely canal boat cruise with a fabulous group of fun loving, like-minded individuals and tonight ‘s CCCI Members Social was no exception. Thank you to the fabulous team of volunteers at the Chichester Ship Canal and to Lawrence especially, for his potted history of this lovely waterway -?you were amazing hosts!?Our thanks also go to Ian Stewart, fellow CCCI Member who entertained us with live music on board Canal Boat Richmond
(ably assisted by the legend that is Doug Price on Tambourine). The Fish and Chip's provided by LA Fish were, as ever deeeelicious! Lastly thank you to everyone who attended this event, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did - it’s your spirit of good fun and camaraderie that makes our Members’ Socials such a blast.

Free Training
Our Friends at Seal Bay (Cove Communities) have invited all CCCI Members to come along to 2 x FREE training sessions next month at the resort. ?The topic of the sessions will be “Customer Services” and you can book you place either by clicking on the event in the Dates for Your Diary section at the end of this Newsletter or by contacting Anthony Smith, Head of Culture and Development – Cove UK

Office Hours in August
The Chamber Office will be closed from 1st August until September as the team dives into scheduling for 2025, we will still be contactable by email during this time.
There will be no Members’ or Breakfast Meeting this August (and no newsletter) so make sure you book in for the next CCCI Members Meeting on 3rd September
If any business would like to host a Members’ Meeting in 2025 or if you have any suggestions of what you would like to see please let us know.

Last but not least - we’d like to give a shout out to the brave warriors who will be taking part as the CCCI Dragon Boat Team on Sunday 7th July. ?We’ll be raising money for Chichester Rotary Club’s chosen charity Cancerwise. ?If you would like to support the efforts of our aquatic hero’s please donate via our Just Giving page, or come along and cheer them on…. from 10.00am at the Chichester Canal Boat Basin, just follow the noise.

July’s CCCI Members’ Meeting
Thank you to Irwin Mitchell LLP who hosted July Members’ Meeting for Chestnut Tree House on Tuesday 2 July at their offices in Chichester.? Yet another brilliant turn out of Members’ and guests who came along for some great networking and the opportunity to hear first hand, from Alison Taylor about this wonderful local charity and to learn about the exciting new Big Hoot Trail which is being installed around the city to raise much needed funds for this well loved hospice. Alison you did an excellent job, what a brilliant and heartfelt presentation.
We’re holding a number of collaborative events over July and August with Chestnut Tree House and Lodge Court Associates to raise money for Chestnut Tree House, focusing on the BIG Hoot Trail.
We have a Netwalking session on Tuesday 16thJuly from 6.00pm; a free networking session at Chestnut Tree House held in partnership with Gatwick Diamond Business Members and family focused “Big Hoot” walk on 21st August – where CCCI Members and friends are invited to bring along their children to enjoy a treasure hunt like walk to discover all the Owls on the trail before finishing up at Oaklands Park. Click on the links below to book your tickets. Tickets for the Netwalking and Family Walk events are £10 and all proceeds will be going to Chestnut Tree House.
