Our Mid-Year Review is now available!
We are in a critical decade for climate action, and the impacts of our changing climate are being felt every day. Our Mid-Year Review provides an opportunity to reflect on the tangible benefits that our projects have on the Australian landscape, including the preservation of biodiversity and assistance with the carbon cycle.
Carbon Positive Australia has been working in the restoration space for over 20 years. We take pride in offering effective and practical climate-positive solutions for our donors and partners.
This year your donations will help to plant 390,000 seedlings and restore 400 hectares of Australian land. Our educational programs are also helping numerous, individuals, households and businesses, learn and make reductions to their footprint.?

The past few weeks have been busy for the team on site, as June and July are our planting months. Although this winter in WA had a particularly dry start, seeing the landscape’s resilience when given a helping hand is wonderful.
7,000 trees were planted at our Bencubbin and Gabbin sites
In early July, 7,000 trees were planted at our Bencubbin and Gabbin sites, on Balardong Noongar Country, with the help of volunteers, including the Open Hands Creative team. These sites have been in progress for a few years, and the following short video will show you the progress made at Bencubbin. After five years, the restoration work is starting to settle in, and native bushland emerges.
Our new 185-hectare planting project at Warralakin has begun!
At Warralakin, on Kalaamaya Country, 26,000 seedlings originally collected from the remnant bush by the Wheatbelt NRM Noongar Budjar Rangers and Cape Life Team have been planted.
We sincerely thank the Wheatbelt NRM Noongar Budjar Rangers for their invaluable expertise and substantial contribution to the development of this project.
In addition to this, Workpower has planted the remaining 40,000 seedlings,?we look forward to sharing the transformation of this site.
Over 290,000 seedlings will be planted at Eurardy, on Nanda Country
Our Eurardy project, in collaboration with Bush Heritage Australia , is one of the largest and most complex restoration projects in Western Australia. The site has a lot of soil and landscape variance. The learnings from this 30,000 hectare project will benefit future restoration projects, as it involves more than just planting trees! Over 290,000 seedlings will be planted at this site between July and August of this year.
