Happy 4th of July to all our American friends!

There has been a lot of?news?around travel woes this past weekend, with the additional stress of the American Airlines?pilot scheduling?computer glitch. Hopefully your airports have all come out of the weekend unscathed!

This week United filed two new station exits beginning in the fall: Flagstaff, AZ (FLG) and Texarkana, AR (TXK). TXK service started in February 2022 and was using Small Community Air Service Development (SCASD) grant funding. Capacity Update

Aha!?announced?new service from Burbank (BUR) to Boise (BOI) starting August 31.?

Alaska?cancelled Los Angeles (LAX) to Fort Myers (RSW) from January 8 to March 15.?They also cancelled Anchorage (ANC) to Chicago (ORD); Dallas-Love (DAL) to LAX and Portland (PDX); and New Orleans (MSY) to PDX and San Francisco (SFO) from February 1 through March 15.?Ft. Lauderdale (FLL) to SFO and LAX to Tampa (TPA) were cancelled from January 9 through February 15.?

Allegiant?cancelled 13 markets in August:?Austin (AUS) to Fayetteville, AR (XNA); Phoenix-Mesa (AZA) to Minot (MOT); Bellingham (BLI) to Palm Springs (PSP); Baltimore (BWI) to Savannah (SAV); Sarasota (SRQ) to: Nashville (BNA), BWI, Richmond (RIC), Syracuse (SYR), Tulsa (TUL), and Knoxville (TYS); Provo (PVU) to Los Angeles (LAX) and St. Petersburg (PIE); and Palm Beach (PBI) to TYS. Allegiant also removed 22 markets from all future months in their schedule.?Albuquerque (ABQ) is losing all Allegiant service for now. For a complete list of routes, please click?here.?

American?cancelled Los Angeles (LAX) to Salt Lake City (SLC) from October 1 through December 14.?

Breeze?cancelled 16 routes in July, 18 in August and 20 in September.?For the complete list of markets please click?here.?This is largely because of their pilot staffing shortages due to delays in their pilot training pipeline. Breeze also removed Charleston (CHS) to Huntsville (HSV) from all future months.????

Frontier?cancelled four routes from all future schedules:?Atlanta (ATL) to San Francisco (SFO) and Salt Lake City (SLC); Cleveland (CLE) to Sarasota (SRQ); and Cincinnati (CVG) to Dallas (DFW).?

Sun Country?cancelled Minneapolis (MSP) to Pittsburgh (PIT) in September.?

United?is cancelling service to Flagstaff (FLG) from October 30 onward.?They are also cancelling service to Texarkana (TXK) from September 5 onward.?United will suspend service between Los Angeles (LAX) and San Diego (SAN) from October 29 onward;?Newark (EWR) to Fayetteville, AR (XNA) in December; Eugene (EUG) to Chicago (ORD) from December 1 through January 31; and EWR to Hilton Head (HHH) from December 1 through March 25.??

TSA Update

June finished at 89.1% of 2019 levels. Friday, July 1 set the TSA traveler new post-COVID record with 2.5 million travelers.
