TIME FOR ANOTHER UPDATE!
Lorraine here, hopefully you remember me from our last product update. If not, I'm the Senior Product Manager here at Wexer and I am so excited about what I have to share with you this month!
Client Category Management
If you've used our mobile product, you'll know that the main way we organise content is through Categories. Historically we would roll out our WebPlayers and Mobile Applications with only our content so there was never really a need for our clients to manage their own categories.
However, with the rise of clients wanting to share their content via our product, we ran into challenges - the main one being that our categories didn't fit their content. Our first step to solve this problem was to allow clients to submit any changes they wanted to make and we'd execute it in the backend. While it was a good solution to get us going, we always knew that we would have to build an interface to manage categories.

A couple months later and here we are! Clients can manage their own categories (title, image, subcategories) all through our Partner Portal. And what was the result? Now the changes are reflected immediately on their WebPlayer and Mobile apps. It's a huge step toward making our product more self service.

Improved Web and App Experience
The above update focused more on our admins but we couldn't let too long go by without giving a little love to our end users as well. We've made UI improvements to the WebPlayer and Mobile applications and we're excited to hear your feedback! Logging into the app, it will welcome you with your name at the top, has slick new icons, a new menu and performance improvements. We've made it easier to navigate through subcategories in both the WebPlayer and Mobile apps by pulling them out of the filters and displaying them straight under the categories. Last but not least, we've added support for Custom Links in the app so that clients can link to their websites or webshop straight from the main menu in both applications.
Download the app from both Android and App store.
