• Remember to take breaks from social media (including LinkedIn), even when and especially if you are using your platforms for social impact and activism. It's easy to get caught up in using social media so much when it's intertwined with the work we do so passionately but we all deserve breaks! • So what have I been up to this summer? Taking a summer class at Wellesley College on Mathematics and Politics. I absolutely loved the interdisciplinary nature of the class that reminds me why a liberal arts education is so valuable. • Despite my thousands of connections and years of experience, I've never been invited or been to COP, or the conference of parties, and I actually don't want to. I share this because I exist in the global climate activist ecosystem where a lot of my friends are involved and attend COP regularly. • Let's talk about "founder" syndrome on LinkedIn, and in activism: Everyone and their mom wants to be a founder. For what? So they can say they're a founder, put it on their resume, their LinkedIn headline. So they have a catchy introduction and title when they're on panels or given awards.....read full post here
