In July 2024 publication, following two amendments can be considered as important:

  • UR E26 and UR E27 regarding cyber resilience of ships, on-board systems and equipment

For ships contracted for construction on or after 1 July 2024, ?Plan appraisal and survey of cyber resilience of ships, on-board systems and equipment will be carried out. Please find cyber resilience requirements for UR E26 (Ship) ve UR E27 (On-board systems and equipment) as attached. For ease of reference, please see appendices of UR E26 and UR E27.

  • Safety Measures for Ships Carrying Industrial Personnel (IP) new ?SOLAS XV and IP Code.

New SOLAS Chapter XV and the new International Code of Safety for Ships Carrying Industrial Personnel (IP Code) enter into force on 1 July 2024. New requirements aim to establish minimum safety standards for ships transporting industrial personnel. This includes those involved in offshore and energy sector activities such as wind farms, offshore oil and gas installations, aquaculture, and ocean mining.
