Mentoring matters to recent graduates
Our two pilot mentoring programmes concluded in June and the feedback from beneficiaries has been fantastic.?
Esa Zya from Zambia posted on LinkedIn about our?group mentoring ?project?with Protagion?and said "My journey on the programme was insightful and amazing". Rymon Gurure from Zimbabwe who won a place on the Actuarial Mentoring Programme (AMP) funded by?us said it has been "a truly life-changing experience."??
Trustees are committed to creating new, transformative mentoring?opportunities to launch later this year. Can you help make them happen by sponsoring a mentee or group? Please get in touch to find out?how.

Celebrating Young Maths Champions
Congratulations to the 2023 #CountOnUs ?Primary Maths Challenge Champions , Elmgrove Primary School from Harrow! Well done to all of those who competed in?the final and to many more children who took part in classroom 'Count On Us' activities encouraging a love of maths, teamwork, puzzle-solving and mental arithmetic.?
The IFoA Foundation is proud to support this fun numeracy programme for primary schools across the capital and celebrate?the efforts of these brilliant young Londoners.?Read more here...
Exam results & progress updates
It?is always exciting to hear from our grant and scholarship beneficiaries at results time and find out how they are progressing.?
We are heartened?to hear from our community of aspiring actuaries about graduation, internships, first jobs and other significant achievements on the road to qualification - as well as exam results, and there were plenty of passes to celebrate! We're busy processing the data ready to report to you later in the year.?
Meanwhile, we need your?help?to keep providing grants to worthy students facing financial hardship and other barriers to the profession. Please make a donation if you can.?
Education Grants - applications closed?
A reminder that our International Education Hardship Fund Grant scheme is temporarily closed to new applications while we redesign the process.?
Our small team has been overwhelmed by applications for help with exam fees from students around the globe and our current systems can no longer cope with demand.?
Please note?will not be accepting or processing any new student grant applications until after the September exams. Please keep an eye on our webpage and LinkedIn for updates.?
