Hello again,

What a scorcher the last month’s been as we enjoyed (or endured) the hottest UK day on record.

Football finally came home at Euro 2022 as the Lionesses secured England’s first major trophy in 50 years. While in the golf, Cameron Smith won the 150th Open at St Andrews with a flawless final round to spoil Rory McIlroy’s party.

And in the tennis, Novak Djokovic saw off Nick Kyrgios in the Wimbledon final after the Australian served up a challenge to the All England Club’s 100-year dress code. I’m all for traditions, but I respect a man who chooses to follow his own rules.

But it was the besuited Prince George who really stole the headlines as the temperature rose on Centre Court.

It's been a busy month for me too, which began at Trnsmt festival in Glasgow. My highlight was The Strokes; one of my favourite bands that rarely tours on this side of the pond.
