Food to Give Initiative Collects 119lbs of Food for Innisfil Food Bank

Last week, Courtney L. from the Innisfil Y delivered?119 pounds of food and personal care items to the Innisfil Food Bank, collected during our Move to Give fundraiser as part of our 'Food to Give' initiative. Muskoka Novel Marathon Raises Funds to Support YMCA Literacy Services in Muskoka

This weekend marked the 22nd annual Muskoka Novel Marathon!?This event aims to raise funds and awareness for adult literacy programs in the Muskoka region. Participants can write in a supportive and collaborative environment, often making significant progress on their novels. We're are grateful for the incredible support of this event in raising funds for our Literacy Services programs. Childminding Volunteers Needed in Midland for Newcomer Programs!

Are you passionate about supporting newcomers in our community? Do you have a knack for connecting with children? Join our team as a volunteer childminder at the Midland YMCA! What we're looking for: We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers, both youth and adults, to help us provide child care services while newcomer adults attend English Tutoring classes. Your role will be crucial in creating a safe and engaging environment for the children, allowing their parents to focus on learning and integration. Volunteers needed for the following times: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 6:00pm - 7:30pm Location: Midland YMCA Health, Fitness, & Aquatics Centre, 560 Little Lake Park Rd., Midland, ON L4R 4L3 To learn more or sign up as a volunteer childminder, please contact [email protected] . In partnership with Parks Canada, we're excited to offer a 5-day Family Camp program at the Parks Canada Cedar Springs Campsite from August 26-30 on Beausoleil Island?(the same island our beloved YMCA Camp Kitchikewana resides on!). This program is tailored for families looking to share an experience in nature and explore the beauty of Georgian Bay. Families that stay at Cedar Springs have the opportunity to take part in programs for the whole family run by YMCA Camp Kitchikewana. Cedar Springs Campers will have access to the campground amenities and be given the opportunity to spend a day at Camp Kitchikewana!?Please download our?Family Handbook?for more information on accommodations, program, and registration information.
