As BankUnited’s Chief Information Officer, Julio Jogaib leads the Technology Area responsible for co-creating and enabling the company’s strategy in the areas of cloud computing, data analytics, data governance, networks, digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), Robotics Process Automation (RPA), Information Security (Cybersecurity), Fintech and Enterprise systems.

Julio has been leading the transformation of BankUnited’s business technology strategy, overseeing key initiatives; enablement of automation, establishing a modern Enterprise Service Management and the deployment of an internal services portal, and partnering with the business lines to enable the Bank’s digital transformation journey through an agile enterprise framework.?

Additionally, Julio is responsible for building the Enterprise technology architecture to quickly leverage the benefits of emerging technologies; AI, Cloud Services and Web Services via Application Program Integration (APIs).?

Julio has more than 35 years of experience in Information Technology.? Prior to BankUnited, he held several executive positions at Citigroup (Citibank) for 25 years, both in the US and Latin America — working across the globe.? He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electric/Electrical Engineering from the Rio de Janeiro State University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security (CISSP) Professional, which is the premier certification for the Information/Cyber Security arena.?
