Julianne’s journey

Julianne’s journey

A Supplier Failure

Despite strong demand for her company’s ground-breaking product range, Julianna—a rising star in sales—faced a crisis

Revenues were falling short, a faltering supplier who couldn’t keep up with demand. With no supplier management system in place, Julianna was in unfamiliar territory.

After early attempts to demand improvement, old patterns re-emerged, delaying deliveries and risking everything Julianne had worked so hard to build throughout 2023 and 2024:

  • Future sales opportunities were now in jeopardy
  • Her customer satisfaction was declining rapidly
  • Revenues which existed on the Sales Order Book were not materialising

Desperate for a breakthrough, she asked for help.

I offered a choice: "Do you want to be part of the problem—or part of the solution?" Her answer? A determined "Solution!"

Together, we built a 3-Step Supplier Recovery Plan for Julianne to work hands-on directly with the supplier

  1. Immediate Stabilisation Set clear short-term expectations, actions, and daily/weekly reviews.
  2. Root Cause Analysis & Collaboration Identify issues, agree on a roadmap, and assign ownership for accountability.
  3. Reinforcement & Control Establish interim targets with consequences, and use early wins to build momentum.

The goal? Move from crisis to stability

Supply chain transformations don’t happen overnight. Julianna’s story continues.

Follow along as I share how this unfolds—and let me know: What’s the toughest supply chain challenge you’ve faced?
