Juicy Public sculpture by Adé Bolaji

Last year we helped artist Adè Bolaji to produce and install this juicy coloured public sculpture ‘The People’s Throne’ in the new development of Acton Gardens central plaza.

Starting with the design, we made a modular framework and back-tested it with a structural engineer report. Then cutting, welding and assembling the metal frames together, we machine cut, Adè’s hand-drawn designs into wood.

Adè then worked on his design with his beautiful layers of vibrant colours to make the work really bold. Really great artwork, and fantastic for the community to engage with.
