Juice - back in the ascendancy

Juice - back in the ascendancy

It wasn’t so long ago that juices and smoothies were in the dock, side-lined by an ill-conceived Public Health England report which ignorantly painted juices as an unwelcome sugar haven, even though we’re talking natural fructose and the nutritional upsides of juices/smoothies far outweigh the bad.?

Yes, there were some rather nasty ambient/added sugar/from concentrate offerings out there that needed serious reassessment, but on the top tier of chilled juices (Coldpress, Innocent, Mojo, Plenish) there was so much natural good news that was temporarily winded.

Fortunately the premium juice aisle refused to be dismissed as a non-essential commodity and chose instead to innovate, reaffirming its place in our everyday, healthier living diets.??

Coldpress for its part trimmed its range back to bona-fide ‘hero’ products, took production into their own hands to iron out all the uncomfortable inconsistencies that exist when dependent on 3rd party providers, simplified its on-pack messaging and introduced Europe’s 1st HPP portfolio with additional fortified vitamins because if you’re seeking out Vitamin C why not top up your essential AB & D vitamins at the same time.

Lockdown saw breakfast restored as an invaluable meal occasion in its own right as stuck-at-home commuters reassessed their eating and drinking regimes and came to the conclusion that their diets could benefit from the presence of a hard-working juice and/or smoothie which supported their full-on, frenetic lifestyles. ?????
