The juggle of selling yourself!

There is always a lot to do when you are your own business. When you are selling your thoughts, your solutions and yourself to clients, life is a constant juggle.

It's a juggle of creating content, selling yourself, offering experiences and doing all the things required to maintain a business.

Creating content needs to be a constant and creative process. While good IP doesn't have a use by date, complacent thinking does go stale. Pushing stale content into the world is no longer allowed - we need to create, respond and redesign to stay relevant.

Putting stuff out into the world that the world doesn't want or need will not get you the traction you are looking for. It is just adding to the online clutter. Responding to what is happening, what problems people are facing and how you want to be seen today is beneficial energy to put out. Before you put things out into the world take time to consider the problem you are solving and what you are wanting to achieve.

Selling yourself is a full time job. It's easy to get into 'only sell when you need to' but in reality selling needs to happen constantly. Selling is an energy. You need to be on and available for opportunities that might be around you.

Offering people an experience of you is a wonderful way to build a profile and market yourself. Attending events, showing up on socials and giving people a taste of what you are about is an excellent way to show the world who you are.

-Be on and available

The juggle sure is real! When we get busy with doing the work we are selling it can be hard to keep up the marketing, but it's really important to stay top of mind with potential clients. Outsourcing is a great option if you can afford it, but also repurposing old content is a great way to go. Go back 2 or 3 months through your posts and tweak them, add a new pic and post it again. ?? Keep going team - your work is needed out there!

Energy and enthusiasm is definitely needed to sell yourself. I feel sometimes we try to be everything to everyone. At some point we need to decide which aspects of this self promotion we can manage ourselves and when to call in the experts to support us. No point pouring our energy down the drain.
