#stervosharing #judge - best day! It's one more day to another awesome weekend!! :)
Today's sharing is about a short and powerful personal call for action.....
Why call for action? Well, it has to do with our self perception in life. You see, how we look at life today is not what the real world is really about. There are over 10 Billion views of how we see the real world out there.....:p
Let me deep dive a bit further. - firstly, How we 'see' things is really uniquely individually based on our own view. No one on this earth will have the identical in every single thing we see or do. There will be differences. Why? Because all of us go through life very differently. Even the identical twins (similar in physical form) has different perspective of life individually. The only common element in which we come to identify similarities or differences in our thinking is really based on a platform - communication. Through communication, we express ourselves in speech, actions and even sound.
Secondly, as we grow and mature in life. Our view of our world changes from what our parents taught us to what we experiences in life.... it is really a Personal Journey.
Let's stop at this level & Look at our sharing today - never judge any situation we have never been in before. It is really about couple of things - 1) as humans, we all are quick to jump to a view or conclusion based on what we 'see', 'smell', 'hear', 'taste' and 'feel'. That split second decision based on the above sensory approach becomes potentially judgemental. How so?
When our senses send the feedback to our brain, our mind goes through our past experiences of pain and pleasure to determine what we think of the feedback.- we form a view or opinion immediately. This is how powerful human mind works. It helps us to function normally.
2) It becomes negative when we try to play god when we make an opinion that we had never been through or experienced before on our own. Once we do that, we becomes judgemental. Do we do that? Yes!!! Unfortunately. For eg, when we see our kids come back with a pierced earrings or tattoo. 99% of parents will freak out and start reprimanding our kids. We quickly get into a Judgemental frame of mind. Why? Because our mind is hot-wired by our past learnings or experiences that such an art is bad or taboo. Did we try nose or nipple piercing before? Nope! But.... it's bad. - dah...... you see the point now?
Call for Action for us is really to make learn to slow down in making judgement from our formed opinions in life. When we are too Judgemental, it impacts our relationships with our loved ones and those around us. Why? Cos every Judgemental individuals are very vocal and quick to comment. Their mouth opens faster than their mind thinking .....
How to manage it? By learning to meditate every morning for 30 minutes. Thus helps to train our mind in less Judgemental. Then for every opinion formed. Keep our mouth shut first. Listen and ask this question - did I been through such a situation in my life? If "yes" - then do share. If "no" - then please keep quiet and learn from that individual.... ;)
