Judge not....we are in interesting times.

Some interesting times.

Aren't we striving to be a more tolerant society? Doesn't more tolerance translate to less judgment? Who decides who gets tolerance vs who gets judged? Who is worthy of judging others? Who is worthy of judging who gets tolerance and who doesn't? I am truly confused.

Justin Thomas (Pro Golfer, lost his Ralph Lauren endorsement) is a bad person because he verbalized a slur.....against HIMSELF and it was picked up by a greenside mic.

Believe me, I get it. He shouldn't have said it out loud. That is unfortunate. At the same time, it was directed at HIMSELF.

“Judge not lest ye be judged”

Yes, he is guilty of being less evolved in his thinking than he would probably like to be. At the same time, his comment was directed towards himself.

“Judge not lest ye be judged”

And....if no one heard it....he would still be a good person. Or would he? Can we think bad things and still be a good person? If he is a bad person now...wasn't he always a bad person and we just didn't know it? The great part of today is that we get to judge everybody all day every day. How awesome is that?

“Judge not lest ye be judged”

We have media and social media helping us judge ourselves against billions of people we don't know so that we can beat ourselves up for not being good enough. How great is that?

“Judge not lest ye be judged”

I know, I know. Many of us are so mature with our thinking and of our ability to control ourselves from saying everything we think. Good for us. Were we always this perfect or have we evolved? Have we evolved because we are good people and recognized the need to evolve?

“Judge not lest ye be judged”

Surely we are all evolving. Isn't it a lifelong process? If it is a lifelong process, then how are we behaving and thinking right now that will be judged as unbecoming in 10 years? Does that make us bad people and worthy of judgment of being bad people...because we aren't evolved yet to tomorrow's expectations?

“Judge not lest ye be judged”

To Justin Thomas, I'm sorry that everyone is judging you. I am sure that I am judging you also somehow....probably because you're short and fit and I'm tall and fat. At the same time, I am not going to judge you as a bad person just because you used an unbecoming term to YOURSELF. You made a mistake. You made an authentic apology. I forgive you. Good luck continuing to evolve. Good luck on your journey.

“Judge not lest ye be judged”

I call myself a dumbass quite a bit. Sometimes out loud. Sometimes in my head. I apologize in advance for all people that self-identify as being a dumb ass. I am directing my frustration towards myself. I doubt I will actually ever call you a dumb ass. But...it might be possible for the media to hear me call myself a dumb ass...and they might tell you I called myself a dumb ass. Please don't be offended. I was talking to myself and it might take a while for me to evolve now that I know that I can no longer call myself a dumb ass.

“Judge not lest ye be judged”

I apologize for calling my best friends Fat Fxcks. I've been doing it for many, many years. It will be a hard habit to break. If you hear me say it to them and take offense, I'm sorry. It's going to take me a while to change this habit.

“Judge not lest ye be judged”

I hope that none of us ever think an untoward thought about anyone that could be less than complimentary. Because, if we think it, the world may know it pretty soon. See attached article.

It's going to get really fun when we can read what we are thinking. Can't wait.

“Judge not lest ye be judged”

No wonder so many people are stressed, anxious, depressed these days. Make a mistake and the world casts judgment. And, thanks to media and social media, it will live on forever. WTF.

“Judge not lest ye be judged”

To everyone I know...please know this....I'm evolving my thinking every single day. For those of you that are not as evolved yet, I am not going to judge you for not being as evolved as I am. For those of you that are more evolved than I am, I hope that you will understand that I am a good person, imperfect person, trying to make the world a better place, and that I am going to make mistakes. Please try not to judge me for the mistakes I make. Please allow me to course correct. Please allow me to make mistakes and learn from them.

For if you punish me for my mistakes, I may stop trying to evolve because I may believe that it isn't worth the risk.

“Judge not lest ye be judged”

If we are going to continue to judge one another as bad people for our verbal mistakes without considering our body of work, I bet we all have a lot of evolving to do before we can read each other's thoughts.

I don't think it is so much should we be judged, because we will be, I think it is more how are we judged, but I get your point. I judge him as a professional, doing his job under lots of stress, having a momentary lapse.
