The Joyous Spirit
Each year, we receive a gift from Santa. Whether we know it's from our parents or not, we know the feeling that fills us when we see a wrapped gift under the tree. But many families out there struggle even to obtain a warm meal and are far from being able to buy gifts for their children.?To change that for some kids this year, Create Hope has successfully conducted an eight-day long Christmas Drive, knocking door to door of a few communities and asking for donations to spread the joyous spirit of Christmas to the kids and those who donated as well. As someone who led this drive, my first ever on my own, let me tell you my experience.?
I was overjoyed to see the number of people willing to donate and those who went out of their way to buy new items to donate on short notice. It made me believe in the spirit of Christmas and how it can bring people together to help a more significant cause.?
Teenagers and young adults were willing to volunteer to collect donations for several hours. I was glad to have a few helping hands, just as ready to help young ones as I was, by my side. We gathered 30+ bags of clothes and shoes along with several boxes of books and stationery in the hope that the young ones will have something to keep themselves warm or a bedtime story to ensure a good night's sleep and supplies to use in school as they move towards a new year. Create Hope partnered with two other non-profit organizations, which were gladly willing to take the donations we collected and distribute them to needy kids.??

Spreading joy is the spirit of Christmas; it warms the heart and makes it feel lighter when we empathetically do something for someone else, even if they receive the help anonymously. It will spark a sense of Hope that someone is out there, willing to help.

Create Hope will continue to ignite that hope through many more drives and future projects, helping many achieve their dreams, aspirations, and more. Volunteer at Create Hope to make a difference for many.
