Hello, amazing people,
Who worked on 1st May? and who used it as a perfect mid-week break? As I didn't work yesterday, here's the newsletter just one day late. But I'm always excited to bring a new edition of the Happiness At Work Newsletter. It pushes me to read about new topics, make my notes, and bring something worthwhile for you all! So, I'm bringing you another edition of the newsletter - packed with fresh insights, intriguing stories, and practical tips to brighten up your work life.
Let's dive into the world of workplace happiness and keep our journey of joy and discovery rolling!
I learned plenty about stress and joy
While I was studying biological processes for my psychology exam, there was an entire chapter dedicated to stress management. Every time we feel stressed about the smallest thing, our body has to involve some systems - starting with the nervous system, digestive system, raspatory system, and whatnot.
Flight of fight response gets activated and it's just not good for the body in the long term. More than that, even after the stressful situation is over, our body takes some time to get back to normal, it doesn't happen the instance we feel the stressful situation has passed. But because we are in a hurry we don't even give enough time for our body to get back to being normal.
These are some of the simplest tricks to control our stress levels and give a break to our body.
Type A and stress
During my studies, I also came across how Type A people are more susceptible to stress. Because Type A people are always on the go, they get things done and they are kind of perfectionists.
But on a serious note, Type A people don't experience joy as often as others. Their expectations don't let them experience joy, but I think everyone should experience joy, right?
So if you're Type A here are a few simple ways to avoid stress and experience joy instead.

All right, your turn! If you enjoy nostalgia, last week I shared a page where you could use the internet just like old times. I got some DMs saying that you enjoyed it. So this week, I want you to check out this page. This page will let you listen to older songs depending on the year. Go to the '70s and '80s and listen to The Beatles or dive into the rock era, it's your year and your choice of music. Some tracks can bring back the nostalgia.
That's it from this time. This newsletter aims to initiate conversations about #happinessatwork as it's the future of work. I also believe in bringing new interesting topics and dope recommendations for you.
