The Joy of knowing Jesus at Christmas

One of the beautiful things about the Christmas season is spending time reflecting on the Incarnation and what it means to humanity. It’s just such a privilege to be in Jesus and to be known by Him.?

In Philippians, Paul says it this way:

What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith (Philippians 3:8–9).

In essence, Paul is reminding us that everything in our lives pales in comparison to knowing Jesus and enjoying by grace what we could never achieve through our own effort. This is the true miracle of Christmas. Jesus came into the world so that we could enjoy the peace of walking with Him.?

And the more we reflect on it, the more critical it becomes to ensure that others have the same opportunity to know the joy of knowing and loving Jesus.?

We’re praying that you have an opportunity this season to share the goodness of Christ with your loved ones.?

A lot of people celebrate Christmas without really understanding the holiday’s meaning. But when you know Jesus, the holiday becomes profoundly meaningful.?

Decide to utilize your God-given authority to possess all God has in store for you.?

Expect the heavens to be moved on your behalf.

Stay committed to prayer even during this Christmas season.?

I superimpose the prophetic purposes of God over my family. I plead the blood of Jesus over our Christmas gatherings that no weapon formed against us will prosper. I cancel, revoke, and reverse any demonic assignment against God’s purposes. I halt any accusing finger. I silence the voice of the accuser in the name of Jesus, the Son of the Living God. Amen!
