The Joy of the First Demo Version

Our regular readers have probably realized that we've been quieter recently (has it been 3 weeks since our last blog post already???). That’s not for a lack of topics to blog about, but we’ve been extremely busy.
First, our trip to Toronto a few weeks ago was quite successful. We managed to meet with a few potential resellers and the reaction was quite positive, probably more than I expected given that we didn’t have a “real” demo yet. People see the potential around Folders. We’re now getting into the details of what a white-label distribution agreement would look like with partners. On a related note, if you sell digital products & services to small businesses and you would like a Folders demo, feel free to ping me: seb AT fold.rs
Second, we’ve been approached by a few funding sources to potentially raise a small pre-seed round. The strength of our team + the potential of the project + our early traction signs is generating interest with the true believers. Anyone who’s done fundraising before will understand how much time it takes. :)
Third, we’ve now shipped our first demo prototype (yeaaaahh!). As a product-oriented CEO, it’s exciting to finally see the vision emerge in a real version. It’s far from perfect, but at the same time, it’s solid work from our dev team. This will be extremely useful for our reseller demos and our next round of customer interviews that’s starting this week.
