The Joy of Building

As I sit in my newly built sauna, it has given me time to reflect on the joy of “building” I have experienced my whole life. As a kid it was building an aviary, a home cinema in our first house and this past year a custom sauna with my own bare hands (yes, you read that right!),

For me, building has been more than just hammering nails or typing code - it's about bringing people and ideas together to create something new, meaningful, and lasting. Whether I'm nurturing relationships with loved ones, assembling high-performing teams, or designing innovative solutions... every moment spent building has been a source of inspiration and fulfillment.

And now, as I sweat profusely in my hand-built sauna, I know I didn’t always get things right. But, thanks to many incredible mentors, Tom Swett Al Bunshaft Sarah Diamond John Lutz Monica Menghini David Campbell Amin Rajan Mike Hayes who guided and helped me build not just structures, but also relationships, skills, knowledge and most importantly realize the power of servant leadership.

So if you're a fellow builder out there - whether you're building a family, a team, or a business - know that your journey is not just about constructing something new... but also about inspiring and helping others to do the same. And when we come together as builders, sharing our experiences and expertise with one another... that's when the real magic happens!
