A journey through India's cultural heartland on the Ganga Vilas Cruise.
A ticket at MV Ganga Vilas would cost you between Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000 per day if you want to experience luxury. Each passenger's portion of the trip will cost approximately Rs 20 lakh. A total of 36 passengers may board the ship.
The project has received assistance from the Ministry of Shipping, Ports and Waterways (MoPSW), whose Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) will administer the voyage.
Along the banks of the Ganga River, it will visit forty significant sites, including the Mahabodhi Temple, Hazarduari Palace, Katra Masjid, Bodh Gaya, Chandanagar Church, Char Bangla Temple, and others.
The journey will span 27 river systems in addition to connecting National Waterway 1 (NW-1) on the Ganga and National Waterway 2 (NW-2) on the Brahmaputra.
Between Haldia (Sagar) and Allahabad (1620 km), the Ganga, Bhagirathi, and Hooghly River system was designated as NW-1 in 1986.
50 tourist destinations, including World Heritage Sites, National Parks, River Ghats, and significant cities like Patna in Bihar, will be visited throughout the 51-day journey.
The world's longest river cruise, the MV Ganga Vilas, which will travel 3,200 miles in 51 days from Varanasi to Dibrugarh via Bangladesh, was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
