A journey through elegance & power: Winner 52'
Proudly celebrating 33 years of the "Winner 52", at Venezia Montecarlo 1991 - an icon of innovation created by Victory Design and Brunello Acampora.
Since 1991, this boat has redefined the standards of high-performance boating.
"My first composite boat was the Winner 52, in 1990. It was also my first multistep monohull, featuring twin fixed Victory Surface Drives and a base-vented spade rudder. We built it with offshore world champion Gianni Rosso, co-founder of C&B Nautica, using sandwich balsa core and okoume plywood with aramid skins, and (inconceivable today) polyester resin, all laminated without the use of vacuum. Lamination was 'wet on wet,' and we used weights to apply pressure to the core panels while gluing. Today, it seems like madness, but the boat is still sailing and reaches almost 70 knots after over 30 years! The use of vacuum technology, infusion, more efficient resin systems, and the advent of carbon fiber have truly allowed us to achieve new standards at affordable prices." - Brunello Acampora
Boats like BOLIDE, designed and built by Victory Design in 2023 and claiming to be the World’s Fastest Superyacht at 76 knots, are the result of almost 40 years of intensive Research & Development, also through racing.
Cheers to an offshore icon that continues to make history!
